Hey, if you have a chance, take a look at these scuff marks on my S96J's case. I put my laptop in my backpack to take it to class today, and when I took it out for one of the classes, lo and behold, these marks were there. I'm not quite sure what they are as they do not look like scratches. I've tried scrubbing down the case but that didn't do much. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If there is no solution to remove these marks, how much work/money would it be to replace the front cover?

Ah don't worry, I got those scuffs too. Don't think you can get them out. I think it'd take a lot of money to replace cause essential you'd be replacing the LCD too (not sure how to do it without so...if there's a method someone go ahead and point it out) Perhaps get a paint job or put a sticker on it.

Perhaps investing in a notebook sleeve will prevent any more scuffs.

It looks like impact against a coloured book or binder.

I would agree with coriolis on this, but have you tried a little dab of water and a micro fiber cloth?

I personally wouldn't worry about the lid too much, imagine every time you get a scratch on the lid, you would replace it, over a long period of time you would spend to much money.

I would suggest 3 things to help, a sticker, clear plastic like the one that covered the screen, and a proper method in carrying the laptop to prevent scratches.

Get a sleeve. I have a Sumdex ImpactGuard that I really like.
