This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    It took me a few tries, but I guess I finally came up with a clear explanation of my standpoint. :)

    I think the problem was that I thought the main point was releasing the 2nd gen sooner and you thought it was telling us a release date. I agree that giving us a release date might not be in their best interest, unless it's just around the corner. I just put that part in my post because that's in my best interest lol

    if the current one just had a bigger screen and resolution, then I'd jump on it already.

    Same here, but if the newer ones had the same resolution or were priced in the 600$ range, it would also make me not want it.
