My LCD screen on my Asus w5f is broken. I am about to send it in and have a few questions.

Will I have to buy a box to send it in?

    also,

How long does it usually take to get the laptop back?

If it's under warranty just call your provider and you should have a box shipped out to you.

Just bring it in to Fedex. I just went through this process with Asus over a battery and I just walked into Fedex with the battery, the paperwork detailing what the problem was and a copy of the email they sent me with the RMA number and the RMA instructions. Don't forget to take this with you since it has Asus's Fedex account number and the address you need to send it to along with some important instructions that tell you exactly what additional information you need to put on the waybill. It was pretty easy. If you go to a full service center that does packing for you you just fill out the waybill and give them the notebook and they will pack it up for you and send it off. You pay no money out of pocket. Easy Peasy!

Unknown. Depends on what is wrong with the product and whether they will try to fix what you give them or just send you a replacement. You could probably get a decent guestimate by calling Asus tech support back and querying them about it.
