So we were able to isolate a serious and potentially deadly issue with a customers laptop that was sent in for rma for unrelated reasons. the picture below explains. the yellow sticky note was added by me before returning![]()

Umm, what exactly was the issue? The tape? If so, how is that potentially deadly?
Edit: it looks like the touchpad might be broken underneath the tape?? Is that the problem? -

My scroll seems to have disabled itself all of a sudden. But wow, people surprise me more every day.

Maybe you can add on the yellow sticky to use black electrical tape so it would merge better with the laptop color ...

the laptop is gun metal color not black

I just axed the Synaptics driver startup task to get rid of my scroll, but that's just me....

When I enabled the Synaptics driver the touchpad got like twice as responsive, it was incredible.
