    Hi!
i'm from portugal and i wanna buy in january an Asus v1s-B1!
I saw the notebook at excaliberpc and btotech and i wanna your opinnion to help me to decide about the stores.
At btotech they said that they just declair $650 but i don't have sure what it's mean. I think that's mean that in the receipt the price will just be $650, i'm correct? if it's true is very good because in portugal i will pay 21% for taxes and if they just declair $650 is very good.
    Sorry about my english!! :(

im not sure if BTOTech is delivering internationally, but i got my c90s from excaliberpc. It roughly took around 10 days from ordering to receiving the shipment. They're pretty helpful in all ur inquiries.

You should post this kind of questions in portuguese forums has they would probably know better on how to import goods. (see for instance this one). You have to pay not only the VAT (IVA) but also import taxes. I believe you have a couple of threads on importing goods from outside the EU and how import taxes work. In the forum I've mentioned there is a thread discussing the F8S and possible arrival dates for the B1 model

I would bet that $650 is only what Eddie writes on the customs form for import purposes - it is not the cost that you would pay to BTOTech. Undervaluation of goods may/not be legal in your jurisdiction if customs decides to question it.

yeah. as others have advised, be weary of customs duties and taxes, and it differs for each country. Try to ask around first, because shipping and customs duties can take up to 50% of the product itself.

Btw, im here in Qatar, in the middle east.

In portugal i just will 21% i know. I know to that $650 is only what Eddie writes on the customs form for import purposes, but it's diferent pay 21% of 650 or 21% of $2000.

Check the forum I've sent you and serach for "Importação". one of the first thread has the steps you must follow when importing. One of the things that the customs will ask you is the receipt or proof of payment. Unless btotech allows you to pay twice for the laptop (say 650+1350 for a $2000 laptop), you'll have a receipt of $2000 meaning that customs will tax you based on this value. That's only my guess, as I never imported anything from outside the EU that required paying import taxes.

you were never told any of that. Your conversations you had with us by email should not be posted in a forum either. You were told that maximum insurance will be 650$ as that is what usps allows for export overseas. For customs and terms read our faq.

    Portugues:
Porque não contactas uma loja nacional? Eu tenho o meu V1S e comprei cá. Já consegues por cerca de 1500€. Compensa-te assim tanto mandar vir de fora?
    Vê por exemplo a MBit.

Just asked him if it worths get the PC from overseas, because it is possible to get it from a nacional shop. I bought mine here in Portugal.
