Hi, this is my first post here - looks like a helpful place.
I have just set up an Asus X202E-DH31T which I am supper happy with so far. The whole touch screen, Windows 8 experience is terrific.
There is only one hitch and that is the D drive which should be around 300GB is not formatted and when I start the notebook Windows 8 says is is repairing drive D. This message is only flashed on the screen for a couple of seconds.
I am tempted to just format the drive but I'm wondering if this is normal.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Should I just format the drive?

I have the same issue. I just went ahead and formatted it. No negative issues. I'll probably try a downloadable disk diagnostic utility to see if the entire drive can be written/read properly.
I did notice in disk manager that's there's 39GB unallocated space right after the D: drive partition. Really odd.
BTW, does your CPU fan seem to turn on and always stay on? Mine does and it drives me nuts. I need to go back to a store and see if the display models also have loud CPU fans. -
I just went ahead and formatted mine as well. I did a regular format, not quick. Seems to be OK, but I'm no disk/file system expert.
I was surprised to find that the combined size of the C and D drives is about 400GB which I assume means there is a hidden drive of about 100GB which seems a bit large. Perhaps your floating 39GB has something to do with this.
As far as the fan noise goes, mine is quiet (I can't think of a way to actually quantify it) but if it were noisy I would check the BIOS version for the latest. I actually do not know the fan arrangement in these things - you say your CPU fan is always on - is that the only fan in this notebook? If so, then yes it is always on but as I said, it's not a problem.
Should I be concerned - new Asus notebook drive D: is not formatted?
