Hi, today I've got a message from my system that I need to install some updates forthe OS. My question is, is it worth installing them. I'm asking, because I've heard that some updates can slow down the system, and reduce performance, and I certainly want to avoid that. However some can be v. helpful..
I'm talking about those highlighted ones. Windows says thay are important.

EDIT: I might as well ask this questions here. Which programs are bloatware, and which can I delete from start up??

Yes you should. They are patches that fixes any security vulnerabilities that Microsoft might have discovered.

no let them alone that way we can laugh when you get a virus. Why on earth would you question a security update from MS?
-
I'd uninstall
Splendid
Virtual Camera
Live Update
Fancy Start
Data Security
You'll probably have to google the others. -
Thx for the answer.
Which ones can I delete from the start up?
Thats what I presumed, I'm only making sure about the updates -want my system to run as best/ fast as possible, so I'll install these then. -
And one day a Windows SP2 update will show up ( not sure when, i think it will show when you have all updates from SP1 installed ? ) ...
Anyways, its good because it fixes a common crash while gaming... It fixed for me =) -
then why are you using vista?
lolz
im just givin' you a hard time
PS stalker FTW -
When I receive Win7 from the upgrade, I will replace Vista straight away. On the other hand I do not wanna use XP, coz as far as I know there are issues with drivers etc.
Yeh, r u also waiting for Call of Pripyiat in September?

I've checked the start- up and everything there needs to run, so basically the problem is solved.
Thx for the help.
EDIT:Seems like it did today:
Should I instal these updates for Vista?
