I bought the thing 4-5 months ago and I am getting an offer of 600 to sell it from a family member.

I am going back to school and should get some school money in pretty soon. Should I sell the laptop and get something different? like a Envy 14 or something?

I cant seem to make up my mind.

Unless you're the type of person always wanting to purchase new technologies the moment a new product comes out, I don't see the need to sell your current laptop and get a new one. If your UL50VT is serving your needs just fine, I'd say just keep it.
