    Hey all!

I've had the Asus G1s for awhile now, however I've never really used the PC card slot before. Now, I might need it since I'd like to use some broadband cards, however all the cards I've seen don't fit in the PC card slot of the G1s? I'm sorta confused on exactly what type of card can fit into there? The dummy card isn't a regular rectangular shape, the top left part of it has been removed and so I guess the correct card that would fit there would have a much narrower connection?

    Thanks,
    Eric Huang

It is not PCMCIA it is an ExpressCard slot.

Hey man PCMCIA is old, slow and use more power.
ExpressCard is newer, faster and use less power.
So get an express card but if you already have a pcmcia and decide to use it then you could get a converter like this.

Actually your picture shows the difference between Express 34mm and Express 54 mm :) (I hope I have the numbers right)

The PCMCIA is roughly as wide as the 54mm (right) but does not have the indent in the top-right side.

rulebreaker your pics shows ExpressCard 34 (left) ExpressCard 54 (right).
The one in the G1S is 54.
In 54 you can fit both.
    Edit:E.B.E. you are faster. :)

Not to be mean, but if you just look at what's printed on the cards, they identify themselves.
