Maybe I'm missing something. When I unplug the mouse on my sleeping G50V-A1 it wakes up! The reason I would unplug my mouse when the computer is sleeping is because I want to go somewhere. When I unplug the mouse on my sleeping Sony Vaio it doesn't wake up.

Is there a way to disable this feature? Any other ideas besides getting used to it?

    Edit: Solution in post #4

I think it's the wake up on USB in bios.

I found the setting in Vista device manager. Open "Mice and other pointing devices". Find the mouse that is causing the problem, double click on it and select the "power management" tab. Uncheck "allow this device to wake the computer".

This should work for any device that causes the computer to wake when it is unplugged.

Fusionsenses, you gave me the idea to start looking for a "wake on USB" setting. I appreciate your input. I walk to work and take my computer every day. This was getting to be a huge hassle and now it is fixed and I know a tiny bit more about Vista.
