but the computer itself seems a little slow. ie the windows just seem to open a bit delayed and i am not sure why and my score is 1.0 on my graphics and i cant use the aero on vista....i dont know why!!

Thats really weird! I know mine seemed perfect from right out of the box. defiantly something is amiss here. I really don't know to help.

What have you done with the notebook thus far? You pulled it outta the box, booted up and what have you done after that? a little more info might be helpful to other users. I'm afraid I can't do much but say this is defiantly not the case for my A2 from gentech.

but since you mentioned graphics, have you tried using different drivers? I personally didn't like the ones it came with and seem to be doing perfectly fine with the newest 177.92 ones from laptopvideo2go

Right click on your taskbar and bring up Task Manager and select the "Performance" tab. Watch your CPU load and see this thread:

I am beginning to believe there is a hardware issue/conflict specifically with the A2 model. Hopefully will get rectified quickly.

I have the same problem, but it's not as bad. I've found that when the computer is idle, it runs at 10%, sometimes 20%. I have done a clean reinstall of Vista and installed all the drivers off the disk.

I wish ASUS tested out the A1 and A2 before releasing it. It's just problem after problem.

I just went through a lot of restores and encountered the 1.0 graphics score as well.
What I did was to first insert the driver disc and install everything (you might not have to do this, but since I did a fresh install I had to). Then I downloaded the 177.92 drivers for 64-bit Vista from laptopvideo2go.com

Now my Aero graphics and normal graphics are at 5.9 each. (I have a G50-X1 [newegg] btw)

First check device manager to see if all drivers is installed, if it does, go to WEI and click "update my score".
