    Hi,

I have an X5DC laptop. Ever since I purchased it, the video performance
has been very bad when playing any games. It is running Windows 7 64bit
and I have updated all the drivers from the ASUS website. I have recently
rebuilt it from the recovery CD that came with the laptop to see if that
makes any difference, which it did not. It also has all the microsoft updates
installed. I have also updated direct X.

If I boot the laptop in safe mode then the games run fine (obviously
    at a lower resolution).

This problem applies to any game from the past 6 years, so it must be
    some sort of software issue?

Can you please advise me on how to resolve this?

    Many thanks

    Pete
