    Hello guys,

Anyone else trying to play a little older games like Age of Mythology and Heroes of Might and Magic IV? Theese are directx 8 games. I have no idea why but it seriously laggs crazily when I play them. I run Vista x32.

Heroes IV starts to lagg after like 10 seconds into the game. It laggs like just dragging the mouse is a dang pain.

Age of Mythology laggs from the start. The graphics got "hickups".

Anyone got a solution (except "upgrading to XP")? Help would be very much appreciated. Thing is other people running Vista x32 doesn't have this problem so why does it "lagg" on mine? I run Latest DOX drivers and I even tried to run with stock drivers to see if it was because of the modded graphics, but no luck. I tried running it with XP Service Pack 2 compatiblity and as admin, still no luck.

And yah, I am pretty much of a retro gamer.

You should download GnS Affinity and use it to force your games to run on 1 core. New system with dual-core usually has this problems with old games. And you may want to use v-sync to limit the FPS to 60 to save a lot of horsepower from your GPU.
