I get this message when ever i load windows and it comes to the login screen. I can logon through the password bit but this message gets in the way and will not move/cancel or anything.
Should i reinstall the smartlogon from the recovery CD? or is there another way?
it also asks me to run chkdsk utility which i hvaent got a clue about.
    thanks

chkdsk is a holdover from the DOS days, but it can be helpful finding and fixing disk corruption. To run it under Vista go to Computer>Hard Disk Drives and RIGHT click on the affected drive (probably C), then at the bottom of the pop up menu click on Properties; you'll see a graphic of your drive usage with tabs above, select the Tools tab, and then select the first option which is under Error Checking, Check Now. This is a boot time routine so you will have to reboot your machine after enabling this setting, you'll see the program working as your laptop boots up and if you have any disk issues they should be identified and hopefully fixed.
