..And have had nothing but issue after issue but the most worrisome one is the GTS 360m began overheating and displaying artifacts.
I immediately shut the game down and began seeing artifacts on the desktop which really worried me but after a reboot everything seems fine so far..
My question is, has anyone else tried running this abomination of a port to the pc on their G60-JX?
This laptop has been a joy thus far, it's run everything I've thrown at it(L4D,Supcom2,GTA4,Starcraft 2,Borderlands etc.)with 0 issue's and now that I've installed this 4 year old game it brings my video card to it's knee's and it overheats?..
The game itself ran smooth as butter before it crashes btw.
I updated the game with the single patch they released and updated GFWL.
Running latest nvidia drivers also.
Im afraid This game somehow has torqed my video card and im afraid it may need replacing, it just boggles my mind that a 4 year old game might have done this for whatever reason. When i run the game the card runs hotter than it ever has running anything else..
The card is well ventilated on top of my computer table.
Thx for any feedback.

I downloaded gears from gamestop on my alienware M17-R1 and it played like a champ. No problems at all. I hope your asus is ok bro. I have been thinking of getting one myself.

Another thing im finding odd while playing unreal engine games it refuses to vsync.. installed Alien Breed on steam today and it runs fine(although again very hot, almost 90c)it refuses to run with vsync enabled.
So far it only seems to be unreal engine games..i'll have to do more testing.
Gears still not running correctly.. -
I do believe I've found the issue, my desktop resolution was set to 1280x720 for some reason and that seems to be the cause of all the troubles.
Once i set it to 1366x768 native, Gears ran just fine(still warm but not burrning hot like before)as did the vsync issues.
I hope this helps anyone else out there who's retarded like me just to find out it was something as silly as the desktop resolution setting..
So i put Gears of War(PC)on my Asus G60-JX.
