    long story short just fried my 500gb external hard drive .... i hate late night testing :(

    The HD should be fine though right? im craking this thing open (dont have those inverse screwdriver to open it up nicely) and buying an enclosure.

    hope only the card got fried :eek:

    Ya you have to be careful, every power brick has a printed voltage input/output and current input/output. You can only mix and match bricks with the same rating.

    I've done that... well... something like that.

    Bought a new modem, and router, called Comcast to get the modem activated, they told me it was DOA. Returned it to Circuit City. Got home... 'why does the router and modem have the same exact power plug? Oo' (I returned the router's cable, leaving me with 2 modem plugs). Plugged it in... works fine :p. Lucky me.
