Title says it all.
I'm interested to know how people's games are performing on the V1S.
The 3D Mark Scores between the G1S and V1S are significant (about 900 points) and I'd like to know how 'tangible' that difference is in actual game play.

Well I get mine tomorrow and I will try some games out on it.
Have anything specific you will want me to try?

Flight Simulator X with SP1 installed would be great.
Flight Sim X is said to be more CPU dependent than GPU dependent, so on a V1S it might be okay. We'll see. -
Airborne demo, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Command & Conquer 3, Lost Planet, Supreme Commander...
That would be cool
Thanks -
Mine came yesterday. Runs great so far; I have oblivion and supcom installed. I'll try them out tonight and give a report if you want. The games I've run so far have been fantastic! I suspect that the V1s will blow through those games.

Arrived at FedEx location
FORT WORTH, TX
I'm just outside Fort Worth, V1S here I come! -
And not only I
-
Is the V1s actually in stock anywhere right now?
-
Right now it looks like most of the resellers are still back ordered, however you could give them a call to make sure.
Unfortunately I don't have any of those games that you requested. However I will try Medal of Honor:Airborne demo as well as FEAR if I have the time to download them tomorrow. Otherwise it will be sometime this weekend.
I think my most graphic intensive game right now is BF2. I will give that a shot tomorrow.

I went through Gentech PC, and got in his second bloc. He said he's getting a shipment per week, so worst case you have 2-3 weeks to wait. Better than Dell!
Sadly, I'm typing on my desktop. Can't get onto my home network. Not the notebook's fault. -
Got mine, Full review, Specs and benchmarks will be up by tonight.

Oblivion is great. I kept the res at 1200x900 or something like that, and it was silky smooth with medium detail. I'll try notching up the res or the detail (from med on auto-detect). It's no 8800GTX, but it's pretty and playable. Runs better than my 2 year old desktop. I am worried that the 8600's relatively narrow bandwidth will keep me from upping the res, but honestly I'm not hardcore enough to be appalled.
Boy it looks sharp. It has a gorgeous lcd, I mean unbelievable. Personally, I think giving up gddr3 on the gpu was worth it. It looks like a grown-up notebook (sorry g1s) but is still eye-catching. And so far it plays everything I want it to at high settings and playable rates. -
A lot of people reported 'grainy' screens with the G1S.
Any one getting 'grainy' screens with the V1S?
Also, anyone own a G1S and a V1S? -
The screen is a little grainy but nothing like what the Dells experienced, Its not all that noticeable unless you're on a white background.
-
Have you tried removing splendid, and tweeking the gamma and contrast settings that worked for the G1's?
-
From this thread, I can appreciate that most of you whoe posted game a lot and decided to go for a V1S. Is there any reason why you decided to go for the V1S and not the G1S?
I'm just curious, since it seems to me that you are using the V1S mostly for gaming, and I wonder what would be the advantage over the G1S. -
i thought it would be lighter and more sturdy.
I was wrong -

Try to run a powerful game such Crysis and let me know if it shuts down.
I can't play nothing that uses too much the graphic card because it shuts down my computer..
So who has got their V1S yet?
