a8js. a year. it's not a usage thing--happened ever since way back when. i just got it back from warranty repair, and i cited this an one of the issues. funny part is it was solid and fixed. but it had this cellophane on it since it was new, so i took it off, but i did it too fast and ripped off the panel!! lol

i attached it back, and you guessed it, back to the soft right click again

Well chances are any touchpad for that model will have the same issue. So you have to learn living with it.

Unless you want to open it up and see if you can alter it yourself...

Is it really impeding the functionality of the buttons? Otherwise I'd suggest don't worry about it... it's such a small thing that it's not worth the trouble.

At least in my view :)
