I'm not sure where to post this because I've read that several notebooks have been suffering from these issues. I have a f8sn-c1 and not sure if this is a vista issue or a driver issue.

    a) Screen brightness

I set my battery mode to have a screen brightness at 50% but after a few minutes on idle the screen brightness goes up to 100% by itself. If i'm actually moving the mouse or doing something active the screen brightness stays at 50%.

    b) Sleeping

If my notebook is sleeping and I turn it back on, the touch pad and keyboard are extremely laggy. This lag only occurs when I wake it up from sleep and stops when i log back into vista. so the issue is that it takes a while for me to log back in since the mouse and keyboard are extremely laggy.

if anyone knows how to fix these issues or knows the cause please let me know. thanks

    a) Didn't you find a solution while searching around? I'm pretty sure one was posted. AFAI can remember, it had to do with disabling a function to auto-dim the LCD brightness, in the Vista power profile. But I don't remember exactly.
