Probably buying the V6va, but don't see if it's packaged with any usefull software outside of XP. I have heard Asus doesn't but on a lot of garbage but what about some good stuff??

There is only like nero and dvd player software installed. No office or anything else. Asus would charge more for that. but either way its not available.

There is ASUS's DVD burning software, DVD watching, Nero, and...that's about it. Drivers CD as well, and the recovery discs.

I wouldn't call it useful but Norton Anti-virus is also on there. :)

I know how terrible everyone thinks it is...but since It is free...and there's no proof as of yet that the HOME version has a backdoor or "flaw" in it, I'm leaving it on for the 90 Days they're willing to give me updates. After that It's bye-bye Norton. I have a multi license version of McAfee, but I'll probably combine AVG with one or two other utilities for satisfactory protection on the cheap. I'm passing this laptop on to my Father in a week or so anyways, (Then I'll be down to only the W5a, that is until I can buy a W7J or a W3J)and I know he could care less.

I here good things about Kaspersky, but I have no clue where to find a copy of it outside ordering off their eStore. :)
