For those who have a G1 or G2 with the Direct Messenger screen and use Outlook 2003 you probably have the same problem I had. Whenever Direct Messenger tries to access Outlook to check mail a security warning pops up and has to be answered. This really irked me as it made what was supposed to be an unobtrusive app very intrusive. In addition the longest you could give the program access for was 10 minutes and 11 minutes later you would get the same annoying pop up.

So I did some research and found an app at Mapi Labs( http://www.mapilab.com/outlook/security/) that lets you permanently allow a program access to Outlook 2003. I installed it last night and so far it has worked like a dream.

Note this is mainly for Outlook 2003 users. From what I have read Outlook 2007 and Outlook Express do not have this "feature".

    Aloha!
