I tried updating to the newest ATI Mobility Catalyst but the verification thing tells me I am not compatible. Also< i was wondering if anyone can teach me how to get the CD bay out, it doesn't seem to pop out effortlessly and i am not yet ready to force anything on this laptop. Thanks.

This matter was discussed earlier in a thread titled "How can I remove the swappable bay of W3J?" Just search for that thread. Seems like the solution is really simple, but I tried it without any success.

For the cd drive, I think you have you take out certain screws marked with a K.

The two screws marked with the letter K are for keyboard, not the tray dvd.
