1/ Flashing the 9800M GS to 9800M GTS is really interesting. But will it decrease the lifetime of my laptop? I want my laptop last through my 4-year university.
2/ Can I undervolt T9400 in G50Vt-X3 with some program like RMClock to increase battery life? And will using RMClock conflict with Power4Gear?
3/ Can anybody give me more information about how Power4Gear work, its profiles? Does it conflict with Vista's power management?
Please help me. Thank a lot.

Reducing the lifespan is an abstract detail, its hard to say how long yours will last as it sits. But lets say you flash the bios and have a really good chip (one that should have been put in a GTS), should last as long as the GTS would have. A subpar chip will probably die sooner due to the increased voltage.
2. Good question should be able to was wondering this myself a little though.
3. Doesnt conflict profiles actually shows up in vista's power management (integrated). -

You may possibly reduce the life span of the unit though at this point too early to tell. there is only one concrete way to reduce the life span of your laptop. that is to keep it on 24/7. Kind of like a car the more it is on the sooner it will break. A simple way to prevent it from breaking is to keep the radiators lint free, something 99.9% of users out there completely ignore

well 99.9% of laptop users out there avoid this forum and others like it. It is kind of like avoiding common sense. You dont have to be a genius to figure out that radiators need to be cleaned when the gap between their fins is .5mm or less.
Some stupid question about G50Vt. Please help.
