I went to compusa today and they had an SZ on display. It was pretty impressive. The screen is good, keyboard is acceptable, design is good, and build quality is also good.

However, I am also looking in the Asus W3J. The only difference other than the processor speed is the video card. Is the 7400 close to the X1600? I know the X1600 should be faster but would I see a huge difference between the two?

there is a decent difference yes. a 7400 is alittle better than a x700 and not sure but i think the x1600 will be like a nivida6800 but not sure. if it is thats a large difference.

Well Im a very light gamer. I will just be playing call of duty for now and any other world war two shooters that come out in the future.

Do you think that the 7400 would handle that game?

I was at Best Buy today and saw the SZ - was really interested in it as a Sony Z1 owner now - just wasn't impressed

thought it was a bit "boxy" looking and didn't really like the keyboard much - screen was OK but the one I saw was next to a Sony FS ad wasn't IMO as good

the W3J seems better to me - and for same price you could have a V6va or V6j which is a lot more machine - although a pound or so heavier

The price really seems to be the kicker on the SZ. Hopefully the Asus prices will be more in line with reality :D
