    Hello,

I'm considering two laptops - the Sony VGN-SZ180P/C or the Asus W7J. I found a few places that are carrying the Sony and it goes for about $2600. I can't find very much info on the Asus yet. I'd prefer a black case but if the price is much less and coming out soon, I'll go with the Asus W7J. Does anyone know when the Asus W7J is coming out and the estimated street price(not list)?

    Thanks

The W7j is still months ahead, so it won't be fair comparing.

Do you mean it won't be out for months? From what I've read - technically they are very similar.

Yeah, you'll probably be waiting a few months before the W7J gets here.
When it does... it should be around $1800 USD... that's probably a good estimate. Definitely cheaper than Sony...

I was really excited about the SZ series, but from what I've read about the SZ160's now, they're pretty terrible.

The battery lasts like only 3 hours on speed mode and 3 1/2 for stamina (I believe those are the numbers). Whatever they are, they're a hell of a lot less than the promised 5+ hours by Sony.

There are a whole lot of other things happening with them, too. From what I've been reading from people, they're not too satisfied. Maybe the SZ180 is a different deal, but I would assume the performance is similar to that of the SZ160.
