So this evening when I took the memory stick duo from my Sony Cybershot and insert into my A8J all-in-one multimedia card slot, it went in but won't come out!!! I've tried everything I can to get it out, but the memory stick seems to suck depper and deeper into the machine.

What should I do? Should I just dissemble the notebook and forcefully take the card out? Any help or suggestion is appreciated!!!

have you tried tweezers? also, have you tried just tilting it 90 degrees in hopes that the card will just fall out?

Get a pair of tweezers or needlenose pliers and VERY CAREFULLY grab the end of the stick- wiggle it side to side as you very slowly pull it out. That should free it from the slot.

EDIT: I'm thinking of very small computer-oriented needlenose pliers, they are very very thin...

I would recommend tweezers not pliers :p

Thx....I tried to get some tools to grab the stick out, but that seems just a waste of my effort; the card goes deeper into the machine.

If I disassemble to take the card out, will I loose my information from the hard-drive?

Not sure how you're going to access the inside of the memory card reader, but good luck. If I were you, I'd stick to using tweezers... disassembling is probably harder to do. (and can void your warranty)

I agree....I had the exact same problem when my dumbass friend stuck his ms duo card in the card reader of my A8J...

my other buddy helped me get the card out after about 15 minutes...carefully using tweezers to eject the card....

then my dumbass friend again...not 5 minutes after getting the card out of my notebook...goes to my friend who got the card out and used his toshiba notebook and got it stuck again into his notebook....

if you have a steady hand you could try super gluing a tooth pick to the card and pull it out...

I hope your friend doesnt drive.................

Like Insane said, find an object, piece of plastic, something non porus, glue it and wiggle it out.
