I'm thinking about buy a S96J laptop. Even though many people claim this computer has a good battery life, it has a 6-cell battery, nevertheless. I saw an option to purchase a spare battery, spare smart li-ion battery (6-Cell). Can someone tell me what this battery is and what's the difference between it and the regular 6-cell.

I don't think there is any difference between this one and the one that comes with the laptop itself.

Why is it rising after June 1st? I thought it's going to be lower due to the release of the 64-bit dual cores from AMD and Intel.

June 1st is the date when the 2 year warranty from VBI will start to take place :p, so we'll have to fork out extra dollars, I think about 50$ or so is expected. Maybe not, maybe yes, but with the drop in Core Duo CPU prices, it should pretty much balance out.
