I have been in touch with Justin from Xotic PC. He has agreed to give us a Special Discounted Price for a group buy. We need a solid 20+ forum members to make this happen. As you guys know there is always that one or two that will drop out at the end, so the list will keep getting added to so that we can still make this happen for everyone.

Unless otherwise noted.. You will be able to order your own configuration, and pay by credit card, paypal, cash etc... Direct to the Seller. The price will be a set figure that we can all use reguardless of configuration. To keep this simple please try to stick with what is configurable on the website. Further details and Special Discounted Price will be made available at a later time. The list has to be verified and established first for an accurate count.

I left the part out about the front lights as im not sure if that was just a leftover printing from the G71GX-A1 series. I have not seen the lights on the newer G72, so perhaps the G73 will be without them as well. I do not know.

Asus G51J is only $50 +/- more than america

but these will sell out guaranteed..

yea im looking now and it's pretty bad.

futureshop had a gateway fx 17" 1440x900 q9000,4gb ddr3,gtx 260m for $1399.99 but that deal is now gone

 

I'm in - already pre-ordered 12/31 from xotic for shipment to California, though I assume that price can be adjusted if all works out

I'm sure shipping charges to the UK will be your responsability. The UK isn't exactly accross the street! You will still be saving though. I believe free standard ground shipping within the USA will be part of the deal for anyone on the list living in the USA. I will have to check that with Justin but 99% sure.

I'm UK as well but was expecting to deal with shipping/customs personally - hoping for a ~% discount on the overall price for buying with the group or have I got the details wrong for this thing? Also saving by not getting the Bluray drive as I'm on a tight budget

Also - Justin was a huge help to me when I emailed Xoticpc personally a while back and I think it's really cool of him to look into this for us, props to the guy

 

Again, the Special Discounted Group price will be the price everyone will recieve. Shipping/customs outside of the USA will be at an additional expense to you (unless Justin states otherwise). I also believe that faster shipping within the USA will also be at an additional cost (unless Justin states otherwise). I still have not confirmed if it is going to be free ground shipping within the USA (that will be up to Justin).

Yeah, that's what I expected and I'm cool with it Tempted to drop from 8Gb Ram to 4/6Gb as well to save more money but that's only if it's offered and depends on how big the discount is

Sweet. With my rather woeful ASUS F3J series laptop with a x1700 GPU , I've been yearning for an upgrade for so long (it was hard to get a decent gaming rig a few years back in the UK and things haven't gotten much better). Can't wait to get back into PC games - here's hoping they release the benchmarks for this thing at CES and it then meets (and blows away) all expectations...
