*Special Forum Group Buy on ASUS G73JH-A!!

The card is currently unreleased and has no benchmarks but CES is 4 days away so we'll likely hear something by then.

Current estimates are that this card will most likely destroy the 280m and any other non-sli mobile card but we'll have to wait a bit longer to see (laptop release date is late January but hopefully we'll have more info before then).

Ive been following the G73JH thread on my phone waiting for a chance to get on a computer and join the list. hopefully its not too late

and for the people who were looking to buy the g73jh but wanted to downgrade certain parts, im not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but there is the X77 which should also come out around the end of january. 17" ATI HD 5730, 4gb RAM, 1TB Storage, but a i5-430M processor

 

Any word from Justin yet? Im so ready for this.

I don't think you'll need to wait for anyone to drop out. I think the magic "20" number was arbitrary and I don't see any reason Justin wouldn't want as many customer as he could get. My guess is that the group buy will apply to as many people get on the list.

 

I don't expect to hear from Justin due to the fact there closed over the weekend. I'm sure he is going to want to talk with Asus and see what the deal will be and how many orders can be filled. So until then, i see no reason not to fill up the list.. The more that get in... Perhaps the better for all of us!

Im all for this group buy but i wonder how much of a delay it would be if any. The reason i say this is, how many units can they get in one shipment and how often can they get shipments , im sure the people who buy now on the website would have first priority.

Any thoughts?

As far as the logistics of this go, I mentioned in the original ASUS G73JH-A forum that this could work really easily if Justin gave those on the list a unique coupon code that awarded us with our discount.

Then it would just be a matter of ordering as usual.

Might be an idea to put in front of him.

 

That would be so paranoiac to have all these 27 people being the same person who is just trying to save $50 on the price. But fortunately it is not..........or is it??

 

Not sure what you mean, but the codes would probably have to be different for each person to ensure the right people were getting it and there were no double ups.

 

He could easily create one use codes , ones that expire after it is used and not stackable, issue one for each person.

 

Enough to buy just 1 .. when you get the bill the other sellers price match
