Apparently they're going to release it before Atom comes out, so it'll be a Pentium M ULV in most cases. Then a few months later, with Intel's Atom, which, hopefully will be faster, more effective and cheaper :p

I'm with you on buying an EEE this summer... but how could someone recommend one over the other at this point? In all ways, except for an insignificant rise in size, the 2nd will be superior.... but you'll pay for that advantage. Who knows, though... the new and improved EEEPC might have many problems.

I'll be waiting until the Atom version is released or the end of July whichever comes first. It'd be nice to see how much the HP 2133 has improved, and if there are any other worthy competitors out by then too.

The Intel Atom Processor is slated for release in May.

Recommending one over the other makes no sense. Once the new one is released the old one will not be manufactured. The price tag will not go up by much. The configurations wil be the same but, better performance newer technology.

I say buy what's new when you need it. The performance will be significantly better with the Atom but the price will be slightly higher. It will break the dreaded 400 dollar mark.

    Thats called gouging you. :D

Go to NCIX, ExcaliburPC or any other online retailer. Much cheaper or close to the actual retail price. The 4G non-surf is supposed to be 399 USD.
