    Hi,

I have to Asus M50sv-a1 and I can't change the fan speed using Speedfan... The program doesn't seem to find any fan for the laptop...

Doesn't see anything on my V1J either. It's probably a chipset-controlled mechanism which can't be changed directly.

Speedfan doesn't recognize the majority of Asus notebook motherboards, and on top of that it tends to mess with the ACPI controls and turn off the BIOS' own fan control - I'd advise you uninstall it.

For fan control, you have to try something else. NHC will work, but there may not be an ACPI profile yet for the M5x series because it's new.
