Does your Asus have accidental damage coverage?

I think asus was giving out free 1 year of accidental coverage.. don't quote me on it wait till someone more knowledgeable comes and comments.

The 1 year ADW only works if you register your computer within 60 days of original purchase date.

Well I know mine has one year accidental damage coverage, and 2 years in total of warranty, but that is what is offered here in the USA, don't know if that is the case elsewhere.

I hope no tea went inside the machine. :(

Otherwise, there could be more damage there. :(

As far as I know the accidental guarantee (ADW) is only in the USA and Canada.

I bought my machine from USA, but the ADW does not apply in Germany. :(

the 1 yr adw is a seperate warranty that you have to go a seperate website and sign up for. then they send you an email with additional instructions that you have to snail mail that to them. After that, then they should email you when they receive it and verify and validate your warranty.

The warranty applies to where the machine was originally bought, so if say you live in Asia, but bought the computer online through a US e-tailor or something, you will still be covered.

Stop using your machine right now.
    Unplug the power cord.
    Remove the battery.
Let it dry for several days at least.
    Then try it again.
Using it while there is liquid/moisture inside could cause more permanent damage than the initial accident did.
I hope it works properly again.

Do what IKAS V suggested. Wait for the entire laptop to dry. If it doesn't turn on after being dried then you most likely have a dead motherboard due to water damage. If so, check your warranty to see if you have the accidental damage protection. If so, Asus will replace your motherboard for free and if not, the worst case scenario is you have to pay for a motherboard replacement which usually runs about $150-$200 plus labor.

You might even want to put it in a sack filled with RICE, it will help absorb the moisture.

Even if you have ADW... is spilling tea an act of God?
Then they don't have to honor anything....

NOT covered (not limited to): scratches and dents, incorrect or inadequate customer installation, lost or stolen, intentional damage, recovery or transfer of data stored on the notebook, damages caused by acts of God or nature.

Just remove the keyboard, and when removed make some swings with it so that all the liquid will go away. Then just let it dry of for a couple of hours. I assume it should be dry by now. But for the cleaning its just easier if you just remove the keyboard. It should be pretty easy to do .

This is why everyone should buy keyboard protectors.
