Is this a necessary thing Asus has in the system or can i take it out ? What is its exact purpose? If i remember correctly I removed it from my G1S way back when I first got that notebook.

I thought perhaps it might be making my 4870x2's have issues.

    Please advise :D

You can safely delete it without any issues. It's just a program that help adjust your brightness and contrast of your screen. Splendid is one of the first things that I delete when I receive any Asus notebooks.

And exactly how do you delete it?

I've been through the Startup folder - nothing there; and via msconfig - nothing in the Startup tab that is obvious.

I've read that it is integrated into the Nvidia driver supplied by ASUS and to remove it you have to update the video driver.

This is on an ASUS N80V.

It can be removed through the control panel's uninstaller

It does leave a button on a G51 unused, though.

Waiting for IDC so I can control the lights.

Yes, but this button (RoG logo), can be used to start Power4Gear Hybrid but the question is HOW?
