I think I might be on to something here. It looks like this reseller known as Star Tech will ship internationally, making it good news for an Aussie like me.

Also, you can customise your laptop, and the great rating on ResellerRatings has to be some indication of their quality and service.

I'll have to keep them in mind during my future laptop purchase.

Please post and correct me if I'm wrong about the shipping.

.... shipping internationally and having good reseller ratings aren't all that hard to find.

Well today, if you can find someone in the US whole will accept an international credit card for an order over $500.00 USD, then you found one that doesn't sell internationally that often and doesn't know how impossibily dangerous it is for the merchant. We stopped taking international cards close to a year and half ago after we found out the hard way that even if all information on an international customer checks out - all they have to do to get out of paying it is call their card company and say they didn't make the purchase. On the merchant side, proving the ip address the order came from, the name and address and even delivery signature are indeed real, mean absolutely nothing internationally. That's why we only take bank transfers or money orders on those types of orders anymore, but we do our fair share of international shipping - and all I can say is that the customer really needs to look at the dealer quite throughly.
