I just wanted to let all of you know that I finally made a decision and purchased the V6Va and so far am thoroughly satisfied and pleased with the results. However, I still have so much to learn so my evaluation is from a new laptop owner point of view. I hope to post a detailed review later this month.

I finally decided to purchase my computer from Startech mainly because I was able to customize the hard drive and RAM to my specifications through them. I am running the 1.86 GHz processor, 100 GB 7200 rpm hard drive, and 2 GB of memory. The screen is really nice even though I'm having to get used to the resolution. I dealt with a man named John at Startechn for everything concerning my purchase. Everything went really smooth and communication was excellent. All of my questions were answered promptly and with knowledge.

I would also like to add that I also had a pleasant experience with Sean from Proportable even though I decided not to purchase from them. Sean spent a great deal of time answering all of my questions and was very knowledgeable.

If you read these forums I think you will find that many many people have had very positive experiences with both of these companies. I would also think that you would be likely to have success with either one as well.
