Ok, I am trying to clean up my pc so I can at least have a decent startup. At the moment I disabled lot of programs on the msconfig startup list.
But one thing that bothers me a lot is, why the heck does it have so many 'wireless' programs running? Doesn't it just need like one or two for the wireless lan?
Can someone point me the ones that are needed so I can disable the others?
thanks,

i have safely disabled the intel proset wireless log and the wireless event monitor without any problems -

Could the wireless programs be part of the power4gear software or something?
I don't have any wireless startups on my W7S, I just use the vista network connection to connect to wireless devices. I only have the antivirus, firewall, grahpics driver and touchpad enabled in my msconfig.
Check here for further recommendations on startup configs as well as other performance enhancement options.

There is also probably the Wireless Console which is pretty useless in my opinion.
