This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Strange A8JM Problem

    My desktop theme is set to "Windows Classic", and my taskbar to height 2.

    Sometimes when I restart - not always - the theme switches back to the default and the hight reverts to 1, though the theme selector still displays "Windows Classic".

    I haven't yet been able to intentionally replicate the problem, though it occurs quite often.

    What could be causing this? It's driving me mad!

    Do you mind to choose "Windows xp" under the Theme, and
    choose "None" in Desktop, and
    choose the "None" in Screen saver, and
    choose the either "Windows XP style" or "Windows Classic style" to see what you have after restarting it.
