I have a asus g73jh with 213 bios . About 5 months ago I had been using my laptop and all of the usb ports had stopped working completely. The laptop acted like they didn't even exist no alerts when something was plugged in or anything . The usb devices acted like I was not plugging them in with no led lights or alerts ether . I then noticed the led for the power button was dim and flickering sometimes and the back light leds on the built in keyboard were not coming on . If I restart the laptop everything would work for about 5 min . The more I restarted it the less time it would start working again until I would wait maybe a whole day then again back to working for 5 to maybe 10 min . Around that same time my hdd failed and the windows os became unbootable and I had put in a second hdd and installed Windows on it ( my laptop has 2 hdd slots) . I was managing files on that 2nd hdd when this problem started by the way . But still the problem continued. I had set aside the laptop and didn't bother fixing it because I was very busy during that time .

Now 5 months later I have opened it up and imidiatly reinstalled windows 7 on the original hdd and am not using the second drive . Reinstalled all my drivers and everything seems to be going smooth . But something does feel off. With the reinstall it's still not as fast as it was when I bought it but that might be a diffrent problem. But anyways I guess I was wondering should I be concerned about it happening again? Is there something I could do or should know about ? Could something like a bad hdd or maybe bad ram stick cause this trouble or is my motherboard doomed?
