This is a strange power question. We have a family owned auction company. During the auctions someone sits on a cart recording bids and other information. This person needs to be mobile and needs to have power for extended amounts of time, 4 hours+. Our idea was to use a marine battery with a 700w power inverter. The laptop keeps tripping the safety on the inverter. Is this simply not enough power? Do we need to go up to 1000W?

We have the Asus A52F-XE4 w
    # Display: 15.6-inch HD LED-backlit display (1366 x 768)
    # Processor: Intel Pentium P6200 processor (2.13 GHz)
6 cell battery and use the standard AC Adapter.

    Any Ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

At what voltage is the output of the inverter? 120V or 240V.
