Despite the bad build quality, the v1s can play games pretty well.
However I'm getting some strange errors:
-After watching a movie or playing a game for a long period of time, I quit whatever I'm doing and come back to the desktop. Frequently, A yellow caution symbol is in my tray. I can't click it, get any info, nor can I find any unsual service running in task manager. Do any vista experts know what it means? (a yellow triangle with an exclamation point)
-I played Company of Heroes the other day, and after quiting, I receive an error saying Superfetch has crashed and must be shut down.
Thanks for the help.

bad build quality? v1s is top notch quality % aesthetics and proved reliability. thats pretty strange you say that.

The V1s is one of the worst notebooks I have ever used, that's an overpriced and overhyped poorly made budget notebook marketed as "business class".
And it should not be sold for more than 1200$ with all the quality, design and battery issues that has. -

You are definitely wrong
but if you feel that way you should buy other brands. v1s is the best asus has to offer at the moment. It is also the same chassis as used in the lamborghini model vx2s. I reviewed it personally. There is not a single thing about it that i did not like. It superceed all other asus models by quality, features and aesthetics. Whatever your issus with it are certainly not the norm and definitely unique to your own opinion. -
Actually, I have had enough of that, so I will go ahead

To those who aren't big fans, what are your complains? It looks fairly similar to the W3J's design.

The thread isn't about the build quality and we have gone through that many times, so use the search function, if you are interested....
Now, there is no need to ruin the thread, it was created for a different reason...
And, I definitely won't waste time arguing with stupid resellers, who are "definitely wrong", you know another one called "Eurocom" was recently banned because he was always "right". -

what are you talking about? always right about what? i am one of the strongest openents here against asus lemons and i can name many becuase we have dealt with many and developed solutions to the problems. v1s has no design issues. If you are talking about battery wear then you are adressing a unique issue that is not related to build quality and aesthetics.
i dont even know why i replied here. this thread is completely off balance. if v1s is poor quality then asus should not even be in this board as it is their flagship model.
Dont call me names. I am not stupid. I have more knowledge on the product line in my pinky then 99% of the asus resellers out there. I dont know eurocom and i dont care. I am not asus defender. I am the first here to report issues, solutions and come down on them when when a product they make turns out to be a lemon -
Just to let you know...

um any ideas about the errors?
(I'm pretty angry too Dreamer, but I'm stuck with it right now and I want these problems cleared up) -
Drivers issue?
Like...

Anyway, I would update the drivers first, and see if it fixed the problem or not.
