I've been having strange wireless problem with my new V6Va. I have all standard driver from the Asus driver CD and using Windows to manage my wireless connection.

It seems that my connection has a periodic hic-up where the download rate drop significantly. To illustrate this, I capture the download rate using DU meter while downloading large file from the internet.

    Notice the periodic drops.

This doesn't happen when the computer is connected with wire.

It also shows up as periodic lag when I play World of Warcraft.

I have Linksys WRT54G with speedboost wireless router connected to DSL.

I am totally clueless on how to fix this. I hope someone can help me debug.

Originally I suspected it has something to do with Norton Internet Security,
but disabling that doesn't help either.

Get the latest proset drivers from Intel. I had problems with my wifi dropping too until the new drivers. After that I haven't had any more problems.

Also boost the signal strength. through the drivers.

    Thank you,

After updating the drivers, the hic-up disappeared. It seems that it fixed the problem. However, now the HCOntrol doesn't work, but I can live with that.
