Has anyone seen a Asus reseller that offers a student discount? I've looked at quite a few and haven't seen any. I understand it's probably a long shot, but hey, can't hurt to ask right?

ISTNC and c9tech offer a 50 dollar discount I believe. Also c9 has a 100 dollar discount if the purchase is 2000+. Go view the sticky on the Asus board at notebookforums.com.

We have various discounts for schools who have accounts with us -- from 3-7%. You'd be surprised at who we do business with.... if you emailed sales with your school they could tell you if qualify for one of their discounts.

We also have a discount program for NBR members... the main one you wouldn't qualify for yet..... but the halloween discount on the Z63a and Z61a you would. You can drop me an email or sales if you want more info on any of this stuff.

    Thanks for the info guys.

Unfortunately, my school is only partnered with Apple, Dell, and IBM. :/

I didn't say I cared who they are partnered with, I told you to send me or our sales team an email with your school. They way we work is we just attached student orders to accounts we have with their school in one way or another...... such are a pyhc department who may have bought 10 systems for their professors...... you probably would know about that which is why I said... you'd be surprised who we do business with. The best discounts turn out to be the largest schools who order the most, but it's still worth a shot to look up.
