    Hi there,

Well this is a simple and stupid question....

A couple of weeks ago i bought the ASUS G2S-B2 through ncix.com and ASUS was offering a $150 rebate.

So now im trying to fill in the information and it asks me for the Original UPC code and serial number from the packaging.

Now my question is, which one is the damn upc code ? The laptop came in a box, which has Asus and G2 written all over the place but there's no serial # in there, the only number I find is at the bottom of the box and its something like G2 15Gxxxxx7101, so im totally confused about it being the upc.

The only other place where i see other numbers , is on the warranty card that has a sticker with a bar code, the SN, and the CN.

So, they want me to send them the original UPC and SN, but i have NO idea where they are, also i dont want to send it without them and a couple of weeks down the road getting a letter from them saying that i wont get the rebate because i did not send that.

Also i dont find them very helpful. 2 days ago i sent them an email and so far no response, and there's also an online registration system for the rebate, and of all the buttons, the HELP one is disabled. Funny..

    Anyways, thanks in advance.

First, your question is not stupid, we get calls like that a lot.

There should be two labels used on the outer brown box which has P/N, UPC, EAN printed on each side of the box. (Only one label will have the actual S/N printed on there.)

You should give the store a call if you still can't find the info you need.

Ok, before i called them i thought of taking the pictures of the only codes i have, i hope u'll be able to recognize the upc code, because i havent been able to.

This is the black box where the laptop came. The only code in this box is thath one at the bottom, which has to do with the model. Besides thath number there isnt any other code in that box ( theres actually 2 more codes but one is for Vista and the other one for Microsoft Office ).

This is the brown box where all the papers and info came, the only code in this box is this one which i think maybe the UPC code, but im not sure at all.

And this is a sticker in the warranty card, here i find the SerialNumber and the CN which i have no idea what it is.
Now, in the rebate it says that i have to cut them from the box and send them, but for example the serial number is only found in the warranty card, am i supposed to remove it from there too and send that ?

They really make it hard for people to get ther rebate back.

    Thanks again.

And yet, no response from Asus....

UPC is Universal Product Code. It's a 12 digit code that is found on virtually any product that is out there in the market. They are all numbers, so that's one clue that might lead you to it. It has to be on the box.

    Example of a UPC code:
