alright guys i successfully do clean install WITHOUT bloatware. :D

i installed all the drivers first using asus download website but i did not install any utilities software.

(1st question) just want to ask re: powerforphone and power4gear, is it advisable to install this bloatware?

(2nd question) also i got 4.7 for MEMORY index base score, is it bad or good?

others: processor: 5.1, graphics: 5.9, gaming graphics: 5.5, primary hard disk: 5.3

(3rd question) whats the size of your display setting.....mine is 1680x1050 but i want to change it because its too small.

    thanks.

    1) if you don't use the modem, you won't need power4phone. Some people like power4gear. Install it and try it out for yourself. If you don't like it, uninstall it.
    2) vista scores are meaningless but if you really do care, there are several threads that discuss this - do a search
    3) I run mine at 1680x1050 but you should run yours at whatever resolution makes you happy. Resolutions lower that 1680x1050 won't be as sharp tho.

    1) Most people don't use power4phone, as for Power4Gear, well i think many just use Vista power management rather than anything else.
    2) Same as redzapper mentioned.
    3) Same as redzapper mentioned, but do try it, your eyes will adjust to a lower resolution, making the icons and text bigger.

    As for:

Direct console, you are going to want to keep this because this controls the flashing lights on the side, from here you can turn them off, and control the mini LCD.

ipswitch, once again pretty useless, unless you really need it, Windows manages your wireless connections perfectly, so no need for it.

NBProbe monitors your temps and more, keep if you want, others use different programys like speedfan, everest and others.
