Computer: ASUS G51.
So.. it just happened suddenly. I launched CS:S and was at the menu. Suddenly I've seen that the white menu buttons became sort of... unclear. And then I got a blue screen - nvlddkm.sys.
Then I restarted the computer and everything was ok untill I got to the point where the Windows logo was meant to show up. Instead my screen was black and after a moment again I got a blue screen (mentioned above).
I booted into safe mode and reinstalled the 185.85 drivers and this did not help.
As to the GPU teps, Ive always monitored them and after my mod, the temperature never exceeded 85*C. I never overcloked the GPU.
So any ideas on what I can do (appart from sending it to repair)
EDIT: Now when I try to turn it on I get these white / blue dots all over the place (snow)

The nvlddkm.sys indicates a nvidia driver error. The white and the blue dots are what is making me worry, could be an indication that it is going bad (if it is doing it all over the place). I think that if it was completely bad then it wouldn't turn on at all and give you a beep code. Since you can get in in safe mode, why don't you try to use a different driver than the one you were using. Something about the driver seems fishy since it does come up in safe mode. Were the white and blue dots on all screens(BIOS, POST, boot up, and Vista) or just inside Vista?

Just a sec before boot I get everywhere dots, then the ASUS BOOM and its fine during that. After when there is the bar "Microsoft Corporation" I get purple (artifacts) etc.
The problem is that I cannot get a different driver onto the system, because there is no way i can get it onto the computer via. safe mode (no internet/ does notread pendrives)
EDITL: Now I get lines and artifacts in safe mode. THe more I turn it on the worse it gets, so I better leave it -
IDK it seems to me like it could possibly be a driver issue because you can at least bring it up in safe mode, but then the distortions have me a little worried. Hopefully someone else might have some better input. Sorry.

I found that I had a 186.42 driver somehwere and installed that.. But did not help. Thx anyway Ill just send it for repair then.

Yeah your GPU failed, most probably from the memory banks and since you didn't overclock you can consider it a bad GPU. The GPU was going bad little by little. I just bought a desktop Ati HD4870 card that came like that, but died within a day of use.
Don't worry, your repairs will be free.
