Since the G1S doesn't have good speakers how do I make the sound come out of the desktop speakers that I have plugged in? Control Panel?

Doesn't it automatically come out when theyre plugged in? (like headphones)
you can mute speakers when headphones are present in control panel, if thats what youre asking -

Control Panel (classic in XP, not positive in Vista) -- sounds and audio devices somewhere, just from memory. I've only got my desktop with a creative card, so I know it will be different.
Look around in control panel, I know there is a 'mute speakers when headphones are present' or something similar.
Echoing, however, makes me remember my original vista experience... even on the desktop listening to music, my mic was constantly picking up my music, and echoing it through... that might be what you're hearing. Although echoing could be something else entirely, but try muting the internal mic if it is a true 'echo'.
I'm sorry if that makes no sense, I'm exhausted -

if you still haven't gotten it fixed, you can just right-click the volume button in the taskbar and select "playback devices"
