I know this is not the Toshiba forum, but I have an update on the touchpad that Justin was talking about a few weeks ago. This http://www.synaptics.com/products/dualmode.cfm touchpad is apparently on some Toshiba Notebooks. I went to Best Buy the other day to take a look at the 14" notebooks, so I have an idea of what my W3j will look like and i happened to see a Toshiba with the dual mode touchpad it looked nice, but wasn't working propoerly when i tried it. Well you can move this thread if it doesn't belong here, but i just wanted to let everyone know that the dual mode touchpad technology is currently in use.

Does (and is it supposed to) the mousepad light up? And have all those super awesome icons?

Yeah, I was just going to say, If you think your W3J is going to have a touchpad like the one featured in the toshiba pic/link above, you're going to be disapointed. There certainly aren't going to be any multi-use touchscreen icons, that's for sure!!! :)

Hahhaaha, yeah... shattered my dreams man. S'all good. All I'm thinking of is the x1600. No matter what, as long as the W3J has that baby in there, nothing matters.

TheKingDavids benchmark was absolutely astounding.... can't wait to try CS:Source on it or HL2!

Some Medion notebooks in Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands have this for already a half year or so.

Yeah, a lot of people dislike the touch pad.

they say its too sensitive and is easily accidentally activated
