Lately as I boot up my computer, the touchpad error pops up and I can't scroll or use the media mode. As far as I know, I haven't installed or tinkered with anything to have made it give me this error. How can I prevent this from happening? It doesn't always stop working just sometimes.

Try and reinstall your touchpad drivers from the drivers disk that came with your laptop.

Or you can head over to the Asus and use the updated drivers. From what I gather you are using an Asus M50 or M70 series laptop?

m50vm-b1, yep. I'll check the Asus website and install the driver and see if that helps. Any idea why it began to act up in the first place?
