This is pissing me off and makes me want to chuck my w3j out the window. I do not have a real xp disc so have to use the recovery discs. I origianlly recovered because EZarmor or Delta Force Black Hawk Down wouldn't install (invalid page fault BSOD). Now this comes up on every boot and asks me to reseal, when i hit reseal it locks up or gives me bsod. I am currently trying to restore again, as I feel I may have cancelled something towards the end. System passed Memtest 86 fine.

Does this machine support windows 2000? I have installed that countless times with no issues on modern desktops and this is my first time with XP.

So time wasted with Wasted with W3J Count: 4 hours and counting

I hope i can get it working and use it for real!

I am going to try to use Partition Commander to change the drive to NTFS properly (2k clusters). All i can think of now is Asus Suxor W3J but I really want this beauty of a machine to work.

Bad luck, although it does sound like a software not hardware problem.

Win 2K will work if you want to go down that path.

Just a question have you reinstalled from the asus recovery CD? I would do that then convert to NTFS and give it another go.

Just a personal preference but I reformated using a single partition.

Don't you need PCI-E support? That was why people were having trouble installing WinXP SP1 on their S96J's. They had to slipstream SP2.

So would Win2K still work? Just throwing this in for you guys.

I got the recovery cds to work by refomatting the whole drive and installign it as one partition. We are now up and running, with 2065 on 3Dmark 06

    Nice.

So is your original problem gone? Or does that software still refuse to install?
