I'm heading out to the Middle East this January and will be spending most of my time in Jordan.

It gets pretty hot there in the summer as you can imagine.

Anything special I can do to protect my treasured G1S while living in this region?

    Thanks.

I would say something inappropriate, but that would be...inappropriate.

I would get a cooling fan, just because like you said, it gets hot there, and plus the G1s runs hot as-is. I use the Targus ChillMat, works wonders.

    Hey man.
I live in Kuwait (middle east) and i have a G1S.
In summer don't use it out side but just use it indoors (There must be air conditions).
    Kuwait is hotter than Jordan.
Why are you going there? (If you can answer)

    Thanks for the replies.

Yes, don't get sand in it, hahahha, too bad camels don't come with power ports so I could use my laptop at the same time.

I've already got a ZM NC-1000 notebook cooler so I should be okay.

OR just ride a bicycle and have it so that as you pedal, you also produce electricity. Mount your laptop onto the handle bar and enjoy gaming while getting some nice excercise. Turning might be a bit difficult.
